Check how you are connected
Remote commands require internet connectivity for both car and phone. Nearby, a paired phone key can also support app commands through Bluetooth. Keep a physical key available. Tesla app manual.

Charging schedules
Where supported, Schedule lets you configure charging and preconditioning for a location. Set charging times separately from the time you want the car ready to leave. Tesla scheduling instructions.
A practical first routine
Our suggested workflow: check the vehicle’s displayed status, select one action, and verify the result before sending another. Before operating a trunk, check that the area is clear. An app control does not prove that a particular car has powered opening or closing hardware.
If an action does not complete
Note whether you are nearby or remote, what connection is available, and the exact error. Check the setup guide first if the vehicle does not appear. Avoid treating a pending command as confirmation that a door is locked or charging has started.
This guide does not promise newer camera-viewing, Summon, or equipment-dependent features on every 2019 vehicle.
